This is a excellent product if it is going to be placed indoors, such as a garage. I had placed this storage container in a outdoor storage shed and had major problems with ants. Since moving it to the garage, I haven't had any more problems. I have used these to store dog food, cat litter and dog treats. They have served their purpose. Only downside is that the lid doesn't fit tighter. I have used both the 100 and the 40.

This product doesn't work. It is not worth the money. I ordered 2 of them and it and it was sent from "as seen On TV" products. When I received it, one of the two had a spring missing from one of the lids (on one side) the other seemed to be fine. I tested it out, but it never opened. I contacted "As seen on TV" and they told me to call the Manufacturer. I called the Manufacturer and they told me that I have to deal with where i purchased it. SO, I ended up sending it back, since it didnt work. They replaced them and send me 2 new ones. I received the new ones, AND SAME THING, One of the Two lids on one side was missing a spring that prevented it from popping up. The other seemed to be fine. AGAIN I tested it and set the timer, BUT IT NEVER OPENED.... MY CATS STARVED FOR 2 DAYS>......... They never got fed. When I called "As seen on TV" they claimed that it never happened before and that I shoudl send it back for a full refund. YOU THINK!!!! The first time I sent it back they sent me a pre-paid shipping label, but the second time, I had to pay to have it returned. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!! 4 ITEMS, ALL THE SAME PROBLEM>>>> DOES NOT WORK... You are better off just buying extra bowls..... The only reason I even gave it one star is because Amazon makes you give it at least one to review this.. It should have NONE

It's true you get what you pay for. In this case, I purchased 3 feeders and one of the three just flat out didn't work. The two others will open after either 6 or 24 hours, but most of the time both compartments opened simultaneously. This somewhat defeats the purpose of a compartmentalized timed feeder. If I had it to do over I'd spring for a higher quality product.

I was skeptical to buy this after reading the reviews, but it was the only product I found that did what I needed. I needed a two dish feeder where both compartments would open at the same time, and this was the only one I could find.

The instructions are not helpful at all and it might be a little light-weight for medium or large dogs, but it's perfect for my needs and it's always worked properly.

I initially ordered this product because it was inexpensive and would give me greater flexibilty to be away for more than an afternoon without paying someone to feed and medicate my dog. I have a large, picky dog that requires meds two times a day, so I thought this would be perfect. The shipping was excellent. It arrived a day earlier than scheduled, but when I opened the product box, I found it difficult to figure out. It's NOT intuitive what-so-ever. Then when I finally figured it out, I discovered that the first compartment would not open and/or stay open on its own. It's also very light, so that when your large dog is eating out of it, it will skirt around as they root in the corners for all the food.

The company is sending me a new one that they say works. So hopefully my next review will be a better one.

The customer service at As Seen on TV was very nice and accomidating. They get 5 stars....but so far, not the product.

One thing I'll say, though, is that a cat liking the food doesn't seem to be the best metric for whether it's good food that you should feed your cat -- my cat loves to eat things that aren't great for him. In my view, quality of the food is a combination of the cat's taste and whether it's good for him. The first is just a trial-and-error thing, but, as for the second, my vet recommends, and I've had good experience with, Hill's Kitten food.

If you use the smallest size cans, forget about this one!

we choose Wysong based on the reviews on here, and everyone who wrote about it in a positive light must work for the company because we had the worst experience!We initially ordered their Uretic dry food and vitality and forked over $200 plus as the shipping is so costly that we couldn't afford to "sample" it.The reviews on amazon were glowing and the website itself states over and over how healthy it is and how much their company "cares" for our non human family members..none of our 3 cats liked the wet food so we ordered another type the Au Jus AND FORKED OVER ANOTHER $300 and one of our cats contracted a Urinary Tract Infection!! Now we are stuck with a month's worth of wet cat food that we can only be re-inbursed if we ship back.In a time of a recession when every dollar counts and I myself am working two jobs this company is horrible.Not to mention my cat is still sick.

Buyer beware if you love you cats do not buy this.

We started with this food with a female cat that had issues with Science Diet. We got a kitten and he insisted on eating the same food. Turned out that we were treating him for a condition we'd not expected. After the female cat was gone we chose to switch to a different Wysong formula. That resulted in his first blockage. My husband didn't pick up a bag soon enough and had to resort to a small bag of grocery store food. 24 hours later we were in the emergency room with another blockage. We got another kitten. Our older male got in to the kitten food. My husband is at the emergency room again . . . I was out of town and he didn't keep a close enough eye on what the cat was eating. As long as the cat is on the Wysong Uretic he's fine. If we can't keep him out of the kitten food, we'll have to resort to a PU. If your cat has urinary tract issues, this is a great non-surgical solution. We always get compliments on his beautiful coat from the techs and vets. I have a B.S. Animal Science, Pre-Vet and studied animal nutrition to extremes. Wysong is a fantastic brand of food that puts the animals first!

Are you looking for a more natural alternative to Hill's or other veterinary prescription diets? If you are, you may have found the answer. I either use this brand or Royal Canin's Urinary S/O for my cats. My cats prefer the Wysong and my cats have not developed problems or blockages due to struvite crystal development since being on this diet.

However, before you go replacing your veterinary diet, know what type of crystals your cats develop. This diet, IMHO, is very appropriate for cats that develop struvite crystals and require a more acidic urine. I cannot speak about this diet for cats that develop oxalate crystals. Talk to Wysong and your vet before making the switch if your cat tends to develops only oxalate crystals or both struvite and oxalate crystals.

We have been feeding Wysong to our cats for many years. It is a wonderful food, with no animal by-products(which research shows is very bad for your pets). We had a middle-aged cat in kidney failure who was given a 5% chance of surviving; we took a chance with the Wysong, and it turned her kidney values around to normal!The vet couldn't believe it and wanted to know what we were feeding her.We currently give Uretic to one of our male cats who had cystitis (the other cats can eat it as well). Both my cats have a good quality dry food as their main staple, but enjoy sharing a can of Fancy Feast a day; it makes their peaceful lives more interesting, and gives them that extra motivation to wake me up in the morning.
Gourmet Seafood Feast is their very favorite flavor, but others that rank high are Fancy Feast Gourmet Chicken Feast and Ocean Whitefish and Tuna Feast.
The flip top can makes it easy for their sleepy mom to serve breakfast, and the smell though fishy is not bad at all. Perhaps it might do with some sour cream on crackers if your run short on canapés during your next cocktail party.

The can states that its main ingredients are Ocean Fish, Liver, Meat By-Products, and Fish Broth. There are many other ingredients of course, as well as vitamin supplements. The can also states that Fancy Feast Seafood Feast "Provides complete and balanced nutrition for the growth and maintenance of cats" and recommends 1 can per 3 and 1/2 lbs. of body weight, and reminds us to "Refrigerate unused portion".
Whether served in crystal or the plain white ceramic bowls my buddies Liddy and Mushka get, your cats will love Fancy Feast, and will thank you with satisfied purrs.

Friskies Dental Diet for Cats

We have 2 cats, ages 8 and 10. Since graduating from Kitten Chow, this is the only dry cat food that they will eat. I used to buy whatever was on sale, and fill their feeder with it (they have a self-feeder that holds about a week's worth of dry food). I would mix in all different brands of dry food, including the Dental Diet. We realized that they were picking out the Dental Diet, and leaving the other dry foods there - only touching them if there was absolutely nothing else left to eat. So I just started feeding them only the Dental Diet. Neither one has ever had a problem with their teeth! The 2 of them go through about a 3 pound bag a week. So for us, it is more economical to buy the larger bags, but they are hard to find. Thank goodness for the internet!

I wish I knew what was really in this variety. It doesn't say much on the can. I toss this one in for a little variety, but it's not his favorite. He loves the carved versions the best, but he tolerates this one as one of those I use for a little change of pace for my cat. He appreciates it some, I think, but seldom eats the entire can. But I really would like to know what it consists of so I know what he's eating. The gravy sure looks nice and the pieces are a nice size as well - not too big so he can get it into his small mouth.

Of course, nobody can ever figure out what cats will like, but our experience is the opposite of the one-star review.

Our two Bengal cats ate kibble for years, but after some serious teeth problems, they had to switch to canned food. We tried a few different brands and flavors. They'd eat it for a few days, then turn up their noses. Even expensive food from the vet's did not please them.

So, we tried the Friskies Sea Captains Choice flavor, and they went nuts, gobbling it down like candy. We only bought a few cans at a time, figuring they would tire of it, but no, they have been eating it with gusto for a coupe of months now, so we buy it by the case.

I don't understand about it not smelling good; perhaps they got a bad batch, but it smells like other cat foods to us, and the pate is easy to dish out. As long as the cats love it, who are we to complain?

I think 9 Lives does a better job on this variety than Friskies. Or I should say my cat does. Friskies doesn't look as fresh or as appetizing as 9 Lives, and my cat doesn't like it as well. My cat LOVES Fancy Feast cat food; and this variety pack in particular makes mealtime a veritable newsworthy event! He always eats it down and he loves it; I can tell.

You get eight cans of Ocean Whitefish & Tuna Feast; eight more cans of Savory Salmon Feast with Cod and eight more cans still of Sole & Shrimp Feast. Very good!

The food does have some nutritional content; I always look for that when I buy food for the cat. There's some vitamin E, A, D3, B12, and B1. I like that. Naturally, ask your vet if you have any concerns about your cat's personal individual needs for nutritional content in their daily diet.

If you catch a sale on this, stock up! However, I would use these cans of food within six months of buying them.

Overall, this is one of the better brands of cat food out there; and I recommend it. Your cat will love it and it has nutritional content which is great for them, too.

I was drawn to this product because it's called a "feast", but I was somewhat put off by it being a "Fancy Feast". My cat certainly deserves a feast! But he don't need anything fancy, that's for sure. I just want him to enjoy a cat feast and leave it at that. He's not one of them cat's that prances around with his bushy tail waving around like some lady feline. I heard many good things about this kitten and cat food. However, i like the Avoderm better than what i recieved. Or i should say my kitty likes it better. She looked foward to eating her avoderm on a daily basis. but now she just shys away from the Eagle Pack. I'm not sure what it is. but i may or may not go back. I dont know yet. About 12 years ago we took in a kitten who liked to get into things like string, rubber bands, ribbons, etc. This is dangerous because these items can get twisted around their intestines and cause severe illness or death. We began to be very diligent about hiding these items from him by the time he was six months old. Unfortunately, by then so much damage was done to his intestinal tract because of all of his "unauthorized snacks" that he had constant loose bowels, was too thin, etc. This went on for about seven years, until we moved to a new town and got a new vet who suggested Royal Canin Feline Special 33. Not only have his stools been firm (and not so stinky) for the past five years, but he has put on weight and has a lovely glossy coat.

This food is pricey but, if your vet recommends it, it's a good value for your cat's longevity and also quality of life. Fletcher is much happier ever since he can eat without immediately having to visit the litter box.

My 8 yr old Siamese, Random, has always had stomach issues. He has trouble with hairballs and he tends to eat too quickly, which results in the food coming right back out. He's been on prednisolone since he was young to control his vomitting. Since I switched him to Royal Canin Special 33, I've been able to reduce the dosage of the prednisolone and he vomits less often! He doesn't vomit right after eating anymore either. He's perkier than he has been in years and he looks fantastic. His coat is good, his eyes are bright. Our other cat Nimitz, a 2 yr old Norwegian Forest cat, shares this food and he looks fantastic too. It's not the cheapest food I've ever bought, but it's worth every penny to me!

I have two Burmese cats, and both of them are being or were raised on this kitten formula (one is 13 months, the other is 8 months). They have been on it since they were 4 months old. I did a lot of research into food recommended by my breeder since we spent a lot of money on the cats. I ultimately decided on this brand because of the research they have done. I plan on putting both of them on the Persian formula (that is for Himalayans and Burmese too) because these types of cats are prone to getting a certain type of UTI and need their urine a different pH.
Their fur has never been softer, they are so active and always chasing each other, they are very playful with us. We always comment on how soft the older one is, just like a pillow, and the younger one is getting closer every day. They eat the food I leave out for them every day, so I'm assuming it is satisfying. I just love this brand and plan on sticking with them, even when we get dogs.

I switched to using Royal Canin Light about 3 months ago, and I've already noticed a huge difference. I was raised in a house that always had at least one cat being fed Meow Mix. Owning my own cat now, I've done some research on available food choices. Meow Mix is one of the cheapest--and one of the worst.

Not quite like humans, cats will eat until they are nutritionally satisfied *or* full. The problem with cheap brand cat foods is that they use synthetic products, carbohydrate-based fillers, and processed meat by-products. Cats are obligate carnivores. The first two ingredients on Meow Mix's list (the ones used in most abundance in the product) are corn. As a result, cats are getting fewer needed nutrients per serving, causing them to eat until they get full and to eat more over the course of the day.

Healthy food results in a healthier cat. Weight control, shedding, disease development, and more are all influenced by a cat's food. The excessive use of carbohydrate-based fillers in cheap cat foods, as part of this reality, can lead to weight gain and a higher risk of diabetes. Many cat owners use Meow Mix without experiencing some of these problems--but very few will use it without noticing *any* of them.

Brands sold in quality pet stores start with Iambs as the "baseline," and even Iambs isn't what I'd call good for your cat. Many of my local shelters feed their cats Iambs as the least expensive acceptable cat food. Even better, companies such as Orijen and EVO make premium cat foods made with very little or no grain content, which are ingredients cats would not naturally eat. Whatever you decide, check the ingredients list. Make sure some kind of meat is listed as the primary ingredient with other meats as close to the top of the list as possible. Also make sure those are actual meats. Meats are better then meat meals, and meat meals are ok (and usually unavoidable). Meat by-products are what you want to watch out for.

The reality is that your cat is not biologically designed to eat a diet consisting mostly of corn or grain. Healthy cat food is more expensive, but your cat will eat less of it, helping to mitigate the cost a bit. I recommend premium cat foods for this reason. They're better for your cat in every conceivable way, and they won't break your bank. Even if you are on a budget, consider the cost medical concerns due to obesity or diabetes could incur. If you are currently using this food, maybe it's time to switch.

Cats are so different that I really think rating a cat food is redundant. Just try it to see if your cat likes it. I have a friend that has 4 cats and they fight over this stuff. Mine, however, just left an entire package in the bowl uneaten and he came over and pounced me one to give him something else. He's a Persian but prefers his regular cans of sliced Friskies over ANYTHING else. I thought that this would be a special treat but, guess again. I used to feed my cat Iams dry food and she developed a skin allergy and had bald patches around her face. Also, she would vomit weekly. I tried switching to hairball care formula to no avail. I switched to Friskies wet food thinking it was the dry food that was causing problems. Well her vomiting did decrease but when she did vomit the red food coloring (never figured out why would you put food dye in cat food?) would leave a permanent stain on my carpet. Also, she still had skin allergy.

Finally I tried the so called 'premium' food Science Diet which seems to be the standard food in all vet offices. Well not only did Science Diet not solve the problem, her vomiting got even worse and she began vomiting daily. I was frustrated and started researching online for quality pet foods and that was how I came across Nutro. After several weeks on the food her vomiting stopped completely, her skin allergy resolved soon afterwards. She is now active and healthy and loves the food.

Bottom line is Nutro has quality ingredients, no byproducts, and is more affordable compared to the more expensive brands which is a plus for a student like me.

One word of caution with Nutro pouch food (and most other wet food) is that some flavors have more pungent odor than others, namely the fish flavors, especially if you leave them out too long. Be sure to rinse the pouches with water before disposing in the trash or your trash will *really* stink.

My cat was eating canned Friskies and dry Meow Mix until I read a few articles that changed the way I think about cat feeding. Grocery store brands usually contain fillers, meat by-products, and bone-meal. Nutro doesn't. My cat really likes the Nutro food, much more than she liked the Friskies. (She actually wil finish a pouch). She's an indoor cat, and I've noticed in only a few weeks of feeding that she's much more active, her coat is shinier, and doesn't have a big belly.

Cats can live for 20 years with the proper nutrients and care. With bad food choices, you're looking at a cat who could live only 10-13 years, and have many health problems in the later years.

This is an excellent price for this food too - 50 cents a pouch or so.

I've fed my now 9-week kitten NB since she was weaned. She eats canned in the morning and evening, and ultra kibble during the day. She loves the ultra flavor, and only begrudgingly eats everything else. I've found that ultra makes the least smelly poop.

I like it because it's a good quality product for the cost.

I dislike it because it's making her grow so big so fast (why can't they stay small forever), and because it gives her so much energy for her kitty capers that I can barely keep up.

The cost of quality food vs supermarket food is one less coke per day for you, i.e. everyone wins. As a side benefit, all the ingredients are people-grade too (the ultra formula smells delicious), so theoretically kitty could share with you when the inevitable zombie apocalypse descends upon us.

My cats like this food but not anymore that what I was feeding them before. I was feeding them Nutro Natural Choice Indoor formula prior to trying out Natural Balance. Nutro Natural Choice brand is signigicantly cheaper and still has a good ingredient list (no by-products/meal or high grains content). I also didn't notice any difference in terms of my cats litter behavior or coats in switching the foods. Another thing that is minor but that I didn't like is that the cans came all dented. For a balance of cost and ingredients I think I'll be going back to Nutro after this order has been finished...

I started to do my research on good cat food so i could soon ween my kitten off of formula. They sell this at the pet store I worked and it was a little cheaper than the Wellness brand. So I started off with the Natural Balance cans and my kitten was doing just fine. However, I did notice he was never too enthusiastic about feeding time. I decided to chip in a couple more cents and get the wellness food and it's like he's CONSTANTLY hungry now.

Bottom line is, if the cat likes it, thats great because it's just as healthy. BUT my cat prefers the taste of Wellness a LOT more.

I bought two packs, salmon and ultra. My cat became obsessed with Ultra, and refuses to eat salmon. He actually refuses to eat anything else but Ultra, though he was never picky in the past. Since I have a huge pack of Salmon, I am tricking him into it (by mixing 50/50 with Ultra)... Let's see how long he will buy into it.

UPDATE: it's been 4 months since I tried it. The kitty is now happily eating 3 different formulas (Ultra, Salmon and Duck with green peas). He looks wonderful, the fur is shining he isn't loosing it much. I tried the dry food too (chicken), but that did not work: the kitty developed a bad allergy with lots of ugly pimples on the face, which went away after I eliminated this dry food. Normally, he is eating chicken products just fine, but this one definitely did not work.

My 2 kitties like this just fine and it is a $ saver for me. They like some of the higher priced items better, but good growth is good growth and one kittling went from 3lbs to 9 on a mix of the foods plus some wet. One went from 3 to 4 lbs. But the little one is only 4 months, so a pounds gain in one month is good. She is not so picky and loves the 9 lives just as well as the more expensive stuff. Maybe the answer is more young kitties who have yet to become finiky about what they eat. However, I will note that the favorite of both is baby food wet meat at 1.00 per 2.5 ounces. Stick with the 9 lives dry food.

My cats are extremely fussy, one more than the other. The more agreeable kitty was happy to switch to PetGuard...the other one needs a little encouragement, but I expected that.

I am tired of worrying about what might be in the food I'm giving my pets, and I've been alarmed not only by the current pet food recalls, but also by the apparently low standards of consumer protection held by the mainstream mass-market industry. So, I decided to switch to PetGuard. Though, while making the switch, I will probably have to supplement it just a little with the cats' old favorites (Fancy Feast fish types) so they make the change-over smoothly.

I've tried at least one other all-natural brand (I think it was Wellness) -- they wouldn't touch it. Can't blame them -- it was smelly! This pet food, the PetGuard, has no foul smell.

I bought PetGuard dry food, too, and that is being received well.

We have dogs...have switched their food, too, from Alpo to PetGuard, and they like it so far. (To assist in the change-over to different wet food, I added a little bit of home-cooked chicken.)

I have a diabetic cat who is on a wet-only diet of canned and raw food because the carbs in dry food, (even the "prescription" diabetic dry food, which was as high in carbs as all the other kibble) make her blood sugar uncontrollable. I am now in the process of getting my other cat -- who has eaten dry food her whole life -- off of dry food since that is very likely what caused my other cat to become diabetic. It hasn't been easy because dry food manufacturers do anything they can to make the "McDonald's of cat food" as enticing as possible, but she is finally starting to accept wet foods and when I brought a can of this Wysong Au Jus Rabbit home, she actually went right for it. Remember, this food doesn't have all the vitamins and nutrients needed to feed it to your cat as their sole diet, so you should mix in a supplement (I use Platinum Performance Feline) and rotate other nutritionally complete canned foods into the cat's feeding regimen. Adding some fresh, raw food every other day or so is also a good idea since it's what cats evolved to eat.

I began searching for high quality cat food after my 10-year-old well-loved pet almost died from a urinary obstruction.

Felidae was among the premium cat foods that came highly recommended as an all natural cat food made with high protein, human grade meat. Calculating the protein on a dry matter basis, in order to more accurately compare the cat foods on the market, Felidae rates among the best.

If your cat needs a high protein, low carb, low magnesium cat food, then Felidae should be one that you try. It had even less magnesium than the prescription, low magnesium cat food that my vet was hawking. Our vet was all for making the switch to a higher quality, all natural, lower magnesium brand.

The only reason I didn't give Felidae 5 stars is I reserve the 5 stars for the brand my cat favored best - though this brand is easily as high quality as the one Mardi loved (Wellness).

I didn't know anything about cat food until my two older cats, male and female, started barfing all over the place. And the female started getting skinnier and weaker until it was obvious she was starving to death. I tried every food in the store and nothing seemed to work for them, although the younger cats were ok. A person I knew on a hobby forum told me that cats are carnivores, they're supposed to eat meat, and most cat foods are junk -- wheat, corn and rice meal, very little protein let alone animal-based protein and he recommended Felidae.

I went to their website (canidae.com) and read a ton of testimonials from people saying their cats (or dogs) were in terrible shape and the food literally cured them--meaning the reason they were sick is because their food sucked. It seemed a little too good to be true to me. I took my female cat to the vet and he told me he could put her on medication, that her internal organs were sluggish etc., and I asked him plainly if the cat food could relate and he said "definitely." So I got some felidae.

My cats ate less of this-- as it is much higher protein (animals just like humans naturally eat a lot less on high protein diets) -- so the fact that it is expensive is less an issue, plus there's less litterbox result. It was AMAZING. All the funky bumps on her and her over-sensitivity near her tail and seeming joint pain went away, her fur got thicker and lusher, she gained weight until she was normal sized, and the same happened even for others of my 8 cats that I had not considered ill at all! I guess I didn't know that their fur could be more lush or they could seem healthier until it happened. I gave some to my friend for her barfing older cat and she reported the same thing--it made a huge difference in the cat's life.

If you can find a local pet store that carries this stuff it's a lot cheaper since you won't have to pay shipping. But if all else fails or you just aren't sure, just try some from amazon at first. I think you'll be glad you did. I know your cat will be glad!

As a last note, my cats were not fond of the taste of the Felidae dry for some reason and didn't want to eat it, so I only post this in regards to the Felidae wet food. In talking about this online I have had many people tell me Innova EVO cat food dry (which amazon also carries) was pretty good for their cat as well.

They are presently five weeks old and the babycat34 is an excellent and well thought out product. I was raised in a house that always had at least one cat being fed Meow Mix. Owning my own cat now, I've done some research on available food choices. Meow Mix is one of the cheapest--and one of the worst.

Not quite like humans, cats will eat until they are nutritionally satisfied *or* full. The problem with cheap brand cat foods is that they use synthetic products, carbohydrate-based fillers, and processed meat by-products. Cats are obligate carnivores. The first two ingredients on Meow Mix's list (the ones used in most abundance in the product) are corn. As a result, cats are getting fewer needed nutrients per serving, causing them to eat until they get full and to eat more over the course of the day.

Healthy food results in a healthier cat. Weight control, shedding, disease development, and more are all influenced by a cat's food. The excessive use of carbohydrate-based fillers in cheap cat foods, as part of this reality, can lead to weight gain and a higher risk of diabetes.

Brands sold in quality pet stores start with Iambs as the "baseline," and even Iambs isn't what I'd call good for your cat. Many of my local shelters feed their cats Iambs as the least expensive acceptable cat food. Even better, companies such as Orijen and EVO make premium cat foods made with very little or no grain content, which are ingredients cats would not naturally eat. Whatever you decide, check the ingredients list. Make sure some kind of meat is listed as the primary ingredient with other meats as close to the top of the list as possible. Also make sure those are actual meats. Meats are better then meat meals, and meat meals are ok (and usually unavoidable). Meat by-products are what you want to watch out for.

The reality is that your cat is not biologically designed to eat a diet consisting mostly of corn or grain. Healthy cat food is more expensive, but your cat will eat less of it, helping to mitigate the cost a bit. I recommend premium cat foods for this reason. Meow Mix is one of the cheapest brands of cat food widely sold in supermarkets and convenient stores. Unfortunately, it's trash; mostly low-grade corn and soy with some chicken byproduct meal and beef tallow (low grade fat) for flavoring. It's cheap for a reason.

My sweet cat that I just brought home from the shelter was raised by her previous owner on Meow Mix. She sheds like crazy, which should resolve now that she's receiving real food.

I have four healthy cats who have a strong preference for this cat food over any other dry cat food. Recently, when I had them finishing out a bag of Iams I bought because I thought it would help with their shedding (it didn't -- these cats have healthy coats, but shed), the cats found a way to get into the pantry where I was storing the new bag of Meow Mix, and ripped open their favorite product.

Lots of sauce, convenient small cans for cats who don't eat a lot in one sitting, and pretty decent ingredients and smell. Three whiskers.

The main reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that I think my cat likes Science Diet better. She eats this, but not as enthusiastically. I like it because it's not in the form of cubes of meat like Science Diet and I have found my cat can eat that so fast, she ends up throwing up sometimes (all food, no hair). Anyway, I haven't seen kitty cough this up so much. I suspect, besides slowing her down, it's more digestable because it's ground kinda finely. I suspect the Science Diet tastes to her more like chicken (her favorite people food) which is why she eats it so quickly.

Anyway, my vet initially suggested Science Diet but found this product and said it is "much better" for the cat. My cat has trouble drinking enough water, so I give her the wet style here.

If your kitty must get the best of everything, give this a try (and mix in some of the old food at first so she makes the transition well).

I used to feed both of my cats a different brand name cat food that was supposed to be for those kitties with sensitive tummies, and it was okay, but this Pinnacle cat food has the other brand beat hands down.

We have been feeding our cats this food for about a year now and we have been having a lot fewer instances of upset tummies compared to the incidents we were having prior to switching over to this brand of cat food.

Both of our cats love it even though only one of them has a sensitive tummy issue. Initially, it took a couple of weeks of mixing the old cat food with the new Pinnacle cat food and then slowly eliminated the old cat food until they were just eating the new Pinnacle cat food. Now my cat will stick his head in the bowl and eat a hole to the bottom before working his way around the edges of the bowl. Quite funny to watch actually! Ha Ha Ha

My other cat is a strange one indeed, he will get a mouthful of food and then walk a couple of steps away from the bowl, drop the food onto the ground and the proceed to eat it from the ground. Not quite sure what is going on with that.

Anyhow, I would highly recommend this brand of cat food for your kitty if he or she has a sensitive tummy. And don't worry about the price; it is an investment in the health of your furry four-legged children, as all of us good parents know. And if you haven't already purchased one of these for your kitty Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain, be sure and do so, it is the absolute best cat water fountain on the market at this time.

My ten month old cat was switched from dry kitten food to dry adult food (Science Diet) He immediately developed bloody diahhrea. I took him to the vet. She gave him a clean bill of health and guessed it might be a dietary problem. I tried him on a few different brands of dry food, most containing corn or brewer's rice and chicken. No Improvement in his condition. I then found Pinnacle dry cat food. I noticed no corn or rice in this food. I fed it to my cat and it was amazing. Within 12 hours his diahhrea was gone. If your cat has a sensitive system, I would strongly urge you to try the Pinnacle dry cat food. It is a bit expensive, but worth every penny for the health and well being of your cat.

There is nothing in this product worth feeding to a cat. It will make your cat dull, fat, unhealthy, and sleepy. Look at the ingredients and notice how much corn and other grain materials there are and not much real meat. Look at the ingredients in pet food and avoid corn and wheat and by products. We've given my kitten (Juju - 9 mos. old) Eagle Pack kitten food from the day we brought her home. I've had cats all my life and I've fed them just about every cat food that's out there. After a lifetime of loving relationships with cats I can honestly say that no cat/kitten food has given me the peace of mind I get in feeding Juju Eagle Pack food.

She's still got plenty of kitten-ish energy! She loves the taste and never turns her nose up at meal time. I fill her bowl each morning and let her decide when she wants to eat.

A convenient side-note is that this food makes litter box cleanup easier as her stools are never messy. She's never had a tummy problem of any kind.

Eagle Pack was recommended by a local Pet Food store. It's not available in many areas so buying it online is ultra convenient.

Overall, it's a bit more expensive than other foods. But it's worth it knowing that they're watching over the quality of ingredients in the food I'm feeding Juju. I trust Eagle Pack to keep my 'baby girl' healthy. :)

I picked these up along as a replacement for the Feline Greenies that I usually get for our two cats. They swarm on me and attack when I have the Greenies and they do the same with these but they don't seem to enjoy these as much. One of our cats likes them as much as the Greenies but the other one seems indifferent. If you feed them to her directly from your hand she will eat them, otherwise she just lets it sit there on the ground while the the other cat swoops in to try to steal it away. It would be one thing if she were a finicky eater but these are about the only things she doesn't devour upon sight.

Besides the taste test, I like the fact that they are big enough to actually force them to chew them. I noticed that our cats would swallow the Greenies in one gulp which seemed to defeat the purpose of the tarter control. With the Purrlicious, they have to chew on them a bit before they swallow. That being said, I am a little disappointed by the lack of feeding directions on the package. The Greenies package tell you exactly how many to feed them but no such info here. I wouldn't be so concerned if the vet hadn't told us that one of our cats needs to lose a pound or two.

Overall, these are OK but I don't know whether I'll continue to get them over the Greenies since they are a lot more expensive.

I picked up a bag of these treats at our neighborhood market. My cats think this is the best stuff on earth. My little darlings have not enjoyed anything as much as they appear to love these. The only problem with these treats is that the cats love them so much they sometimes get in little squabbles as each one tries to reach my hand before anyone else can get to the treat.

If you want to feed you felines an organic diet, and you want them to eat what you give them this is a great product. My husband continues to threaten to try one since they are all organic, and a nice mix of food that people would eat.

I highly recommend this for anyone with pampered felines. Mine give these three paws up.
